The controller responsible for processing your personal data is:
MoskitoStop AG
Endingerstrasse 36
5303 Würenlingen
Switzerland
Email: info@moskitostop.ch
Phone: 076 425 17 17
For any questions about data protection and to exercise your rights, you can contact us at this address.
2. Scope
This privacy policy applies to the website moskitostop.ch and to the processing of personal data in connection with our consultations, quotes, orders and our cooperation with dealers and specialist companies. It is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the Data Protection Ordinance (DPO).
3. What data we process
When you visit the website
When you access the website, technically necessary data is transmitted to the server, in particular your IP address, date and time, the page accessed, browser and operating system. This data is required to display the website securely and without errors. We do not use it to identify you personally.
Online appointment booking (on-site consultation)
When you book a consultation online, we process: first name and last name, address including postcode, town and canton, phone number, email address, requested appointment, type and number of openings, and your comments. You will receive a confirmation by email. The appointment is added to our business calendar so that we can plan and keep it.
Quote and contact requests
If you contact us via a form, by email or by phone, we process the information you provide – usually your name, contact details, the address of the property, details of your project (e.g. dimensions, photos, requirements) and your message.
Contact via WhatsApp
If you message us via WhatsApp, we receive your phone number, your profile name and your messages. WhatsApp is operated by WhatsApp Ireland Limited (Meta group), and its privacy terms apply. If you prefer not to use it, you are welcome to contact us by phone or email.
Customers
For quotes, orders, installation, warranty and invoicing, we process your name, address, contact details, information about the property and the products ordered, as well as payment information (e.g. receipt of payment; no card details).
Dealers and specialist companies
For our cooperation with business partners, we process company details as well as the names, roles and contact details of contact persons, orders, terms, order confirmations and invoices. For the partner area of the website, login details (email address and password) are also processed; passwords are only stored in encrypted form.
4. Purposes of processing
We process personal data only for the following purposes:
- Provision, security and further development of the website,
- Planning and carrying out consultation appointments,
- Answering enquiries and preparing quotes,
- Processing orders, installation, warranty and service,
- Cooperation with dealers and specialist companies (orders, order confirmations, invoices),
- Measuring the success of our online advertising (only with your consent),
- Accounting and compliance with legal obligations.
We process your data because this is necessary for a contract or its preparation, because we have a legitimate interest in doing so (e.g. secure operation of the website), because the law requires it, or because you have given your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.
We do not sell personal data and do not make automated individual decisions. We only use services for measuring the success of our online advertising with your consent (see section 5). No high-risk profiling within the meaning of the FADP takes place.
5. Cookies and local storage
Technically necessary: For online appointment booking, your browser stores a technical access key during the session (session storage) so that available appointments can be retrieved. It is deleted when you close the browser. Our hosting provider may set technically necessary cookies that are required for the secure operation of the website. We store your choice in the cookie notice locally in your browser (local storage) so that we don't ask you again on every visit.
Only with your consent: On your first visit, we ask whether we may use cookies from Google to measure the success of our advertising (see section 6, «Google Tag Manager and Google Ads»). Without your consent, these services do not set any cookies. Your choice is valid for twelve months. You can change or withdraw it at any time via the «Cookie settings» link in the footer of every page.
In the partner area (login, portal and orders), we do not use any advertising measurement services.
6. Service providers we use
We work with carefully selected service providers who process data on our behalf. They may only use the data in accordance with our instructions and for the stated purposes.
Wix (hosting, appointment booking, partner area)
The website, online appointment booking and partner area run on the platform of Wix.com Ltd., Tel Aviv, Israel. Wix stores the data collected, sends confirmation emails and delivers the website's images. Further information: Wix privacy policy.
Hostpoint (forms, quotes and order processing)
Enquiries sent via the website forms, online acceptance of quotes and our customer and order data are processed in our own business application. It runs on servers of Hostpoint AG, Rapperswil-Jona, Switzerland; the data is stored in Switzerland.
Google (calendar, fonts, map)
Booked appointments are synchronised with our business calendar at Google to prevent double bookings. To display the website, we load fonts via the Google Fonts service; in doing so, your IP address is transmitted to Google. A Google Maps map is embedded on the contact page. When you access this page, technical data such as your IP address is transmitted to Google. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Dublin, Ireland; data may also be transferred to Google LLC, USA. Further information: Google privacy policy.
Google Tag Manager and Google Ads (advertising measurement)
We advertise on Google and want to know whether it works – for example, whether a consultation was booked or a form submitted after someone clicked on an ad. For this, we use Google Tag Manager, with which we control Google's measurement services, as well as Google Ads conversion tracking and, where applicable, Google Analytics. In particular, we measure page views, clicks on phone, email and WhatsApp, and completed bookings and enquiries – without the content of the information you provide.
We use Google's Consent Mode. As long as you have not given your consent, no cookies are set and no identifiers are stored; Google then receives at most technical, cookieless signals (e.g. that a page was viewed), which are not used for identification. Only when you select «Accept» in the cookie notice may Google set cookies to attribute visits and enquiries to an ad and to show more relevant advertising. In this process, data transmitted includes your IP address (shortened), device, browser and time.
The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Dublin, Ireland; data may also be transferred to Google LLC, USA (see section 7). You can withdraw your consent at any time via «Cookie settings». You can also deactivate personalised advertising in your Google ad settings. Further information: Privacy in Google advertising services.
Vimeo (videos)
Our videos and the video on the home page are embedded via Vimeo (Vimeo.com, Inc., New York, USA). We use the «Do Not Track» setting so that Vimeo does not collect usage data for analytics purposes. For playback, your IP address is transmitted to Vimeo. Further information: Vimeo privacy policy.
Our emails are operated via Google Workspace. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Dublin, Ireland; data may also be transferred to Google LLC, USA (see section 7).
Software for text suggestions
For wording suggestions in quotes and emails, we may use software from a specialised IT service provider based in the USA. Information from the respective quote may be transmitted in the process.
Quotes, order confirmations and invoices
For quotes, order confirmations and invoices, we use the easybill software from easybill GmbH, Germany.
Other recipients
Where necessary, we pass data on to installation and transport partners, to authorities in the context of legal obligations, and to our advisers (e.g. fiduciary/accountants).
7. Disclosure abroad
Some service providers process data outside Switzerland, in particular in the EU, Israel and the USA. In the view of the Federal Council, the EU member states and Israel provide an adequate level of data protection. For recipients in the USA, we rely on certification under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or, where this is not available, on the standard contractual clauses recognised by the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
8. Retention
We only retain personal data for as long as necessary for the respective purpose. We retain business records such as quotes, order confirmations and invoices for ten years in accordance with statutory requirements (Art. 958f of the Swiss Code of Obligations). After that, the data is deleted or anonymised.
9. Data security
We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures. The website is delivered exclusively in encrypted form (HTTPS), third-party content is technically limited to what is necessary, and access to customer and partner data is restricted to authorised persons.
10. Your rights
Under data protection law, you have in particular the right:
- To request information on whether and which personal data we process about you,
- To have inaccurate data corrected,
- To request the deletion of your data, provided there is no statutory retention obligation,
- To object to processing and to withdraw your consent,
- To request that your data be handed over in a common electronic format.
To do so, write to us at info@moskitostop.ch or by post to the address above. To ensure your data does not fall into the wrong hands, we may ask for proof of your identity. We generally respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to contact the supervisory authority: Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern, www.edoeb.admin.ch.
11. Changes
We update this privacy policy when our website, our service providers or the legal requirements change. The version published on this page at any given time is authoritative.
